“12 Bears for Christmas……”
is for ADORABLE! And I ask you; “what could be more adorable than Pooh bears with matching handmade bibs and quilts?” Not much!
Here is our little project for LakeHouse Dry Goods’ “12 Bears for Christmas” charity event. Holly had this great idea to give the bears and bibs from her fall quilt market booth to a children’s charity for Christmas, along with small doll sized quilts to match. So, because I love Yo-Yo’s so much, I decided to put them all around the edge of this really simple little quilt. Finished size is approximately 20”. Don’t ya love it! Yo-Yo’s just make everything “happier”. I know this little quilt is a “no-brainer” and pretty much any quilter could make it without a pattern. But if you would like a set of instructions with exact sizes, and the yo-yo template (yes you could use a yo-yo maker, but I wanted them a little different size), then go to our website at www.tammytadddesigns.com and sign up for our newsletter. Next week you will receive an e-mail telling you it’s available!
So, have a very “beary” Christmas! Check back on Holly blog everyday to meet all the bears with their little “blankies”. And as the end of 2007 draws to a close, try to slow down, enjoy the holiday season and appreciate time spent with family and friends.

what a lovely idea Holly had. they looked so cute on her booth at market so lovely they will go to a good home... and you got to be first - or was it 2nd maybe?.... I met you in Paducah and continue to 'watch' you and your beautiful family, goodies and inspiration. Maybe we'll meet again in Portland next year?

What a wonderful idea Holly had, and I'm glad you got to participate! Your little quilt is adorable - the yo-yo's are the perfect touch! Someone special is going to love the bear and the quilt!
